What to See and Do
The Main Viewing Platforms
The main, north, and south platforms offer the most iconic and safest views of the cliffs. From here you can see the famous sea stack, Branaunmore, and the nesting seabird colonies on Goat Island. The 800m of paved pathways are accessible for all.
O'Brien's Tower
Climb the spiral staircase of this 19th-century tower for the highest vantage point. On a clear day, the panoramic view extends to the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, and the mountains of Connemara and Kerry. Access is included with your admission ticket.
The Visitor Centre
Built into the hillside to minimize its visual impact, the eco-friendly visitor centre houses an interactive exhibition, "The Ledge" virtual reality experience, two cafés, and a gift shop. It’s a great place to learn about the geology, history, and wildlife of the cliffs.
Getting to the Cliffs
The Cliffs of Moher are located on the west coast of Ireland in County Clare, near the villages of Liscannor and Doolin. The official address is Lislorkan North, Liscannor, Co. Clare, Ireland.
By Car: The cliffs are well-signposted and easily accessible by road. From Galway, the drive is about 1.5 hours (76km). From Dublin, it's around 3.5-4 hours (270km). The main car park is located across the road from the Visitor Centre; your admission is included with parking.
By Bus: Bus Éireann route 350 provides a daily service from Galway and Ennis. This is a scenic route along the Wild Atlantic Way and a convenient option if you prefer not to drive.
